It is flattering to know that people want these things! Even if a 2000 page omnibus might prove a little difficult to handle. <br><br> The early Scary Go Round books won't go back into print any time soon. There's not nearly enough demand to do a complete run and I don't have the money to take a punt on it. If I print one, I have to print all three. I've spent months looking at print on demand, with the help of some very kind people, but the prices are always too high. I feel like I'd be issuing something ill-conceived, selling years-old work at twice its original cover price just to make a small profit. i even looked at doing really rough, fun black and white reprints super-cheap, but the early comic style doesn't convert well to B&W at all. I'd have to extensively edit every single file. <br><br> The notion of selling it on a DVD or as a PDF download seems a bit wrong-headed since the entire archive is available on the internet. <br><br> And needless to say, Scary Go Round book 4 is now down to a couple of hundred copies left so soon I'd have to reprint another full-colour, glossy book for the completists... I'm on a hiding to nothing. <br><br> As things stand at the moment, books are the only physical media object not made worthless by the endless digital march. In a few years that may not be the case. But I like the rarity of my books. When you buy one, you've got a limited edition object. The out-of-print ones are all worth far more than you paid for them. BOOKS YOU WON'T REMEMBER
I continue to receive occasional emails from people who want to know if the first three Scary Go Round books will be back in print soon, or if I will produce a 2000 page omnibus of the comic in its entirety. It is flattering to know that people want these things! Even if a 2000 page omnibus might prove a little difficult to handle.
